Whenever I am going through my emails or my Facebook feed, I see a lot of lesbians kissing. It makes me happy that so many people love to have the pleasure of kissing their girlfriend or boyfriend. But it also gives me some idea of what it feels like to kiss a guy.

A new study published in the American Sociological Review examined heterosexual attitudes toward same-sex couples. Researchers surveyed over a thousand Americans about their views on a range of issues, from the legal benefits of same-sex marriage to public displays of affection.
Researchers asked participants to respond to questions on a four-point Likert scale. They read vignettes about gay and lesbian couples, rated pictures of couples kissing on a valence scale, and answered questions regarding the right to hold hands, to tell people that you are a couple, and to receive inheritance rights.
The researchers found that straight respondents were almost equally supportive of the legal benefits of all orientations. However, they were less supportive of informal privileges for gay and lesbian couples. In addition, they were more critical of the public displays of affection by same-sex couples.
These findings are in line with recent research. Many Americans believe it is wrong for a same-sex couple to engage in public displays of affection.
While the study was small, it shows that both lesbians and gays take a dim view of same-sex public hand-holding. They also showed a much higher level of support for heterosexual couples.
Although this study is not definitive, it suggests that there are limits to tolerant attitudes. As a result, more work is needed to explore discrimination against gay couples.

There is a lot to be said for kissing on the cheek. It is a gesture of affection, a clever way to greet a friend or a clever way to show your appreciation for a job well done. If you are in a romantic mood, you can even try it out with your partner.
The best part about it is that it’s easy to do. You just have to figure out what to do with the other person and you’re good to go. And if you’re in the same city, you can’t beat the convenience of doing it at a restaurant. Likewise, you can also do it on the way home or at the gym.
There is no guarantee that the woman in question will let you kiss her. Having a friend that is a lesbian might give you an edge. That said, don’t take it too seriously if you want to keep your relationship cordial.
While there is no need to go overboard, there is a time and place for that cheeky little kiss. One of the best ways to do it is to be courteous and not make the woman feel slighted. Also, you might be surprised at the glee of the cheeky gander.
A few other tips to follow are to do your utmost to avoid bumping noses and remember that women aren’t always the queens of the bedroom.
